Paiute cutthroat are the rarest of native California trout. All populations of the Paiute cutthroat trout are small and isolated, and therefore vulnerable.
Our objective is to protect the long-term sustainability and genetic integrity of this species by supporting the removal of non-native fish and the reintroduction of Paiute cutthroats in its entire historic range.
To this end, we will:
- Garner public support of the proposed Non-native Species and Reintroduction Restoration Project proposal
- Support implementation and pre- and post-restoration project monitoring
