Redwood Creek

The Redwood Creek Watershed is in the northern coast ranges of California and drains approximately 285 square miles. The creek flows about 67 miles from its headwaters to the Pacific Ocean near the town of Orick (35 miles north of Eureka).

Redwood Creek is home to coho and Chinook salmon, steelhead trout and cutthroat trout.

Redwood Creek is USEPA 303(d) listed for sediment and water temperature impairment caused by past timber harvest activities and erosion during large floods.

Coordinated restoration activities are a priority in the watershed.
