Historic agreement to restore fisheries
Restoration of Upper Owens River headwaters and Mono Basin fisheries and supporting habitats. Promote and ensure sustainable use of groundwater and surface water resources for people, fish and angling opportunities.
- Continued to coordinate with parties to the 2013 legal settlement (CalTrout, LADWP, Mono Lake Committee, and CA DFW) and the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) to gain approval of the proposed amended water license for LADWP.
What We Will Achieve in 2016-17
- Implement the terms of Settlement Agreement once approved (anticipated to be early summer, 2016). Most notably, implement the monitoring and restoration aspects of the Agreement that focus on recovery of the Rush and Lee Vining Creek fisheries.
