Restoring fish passage in vital steelhead territory

Long-term Goal:

  • Restore fish passage and produce data to inform the final engineering design of Phase II.

Recent Accomplishments:

  • Secured landowner to be the recipient of the outstanding $189,000 needed for construction. Identified funding through the USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service’s Environmental Quality Incentives Wildlife program.
  • Solicited the services of a biological monitor to undertake necessary California Red Legged Frog Protocol surveys.
  • Drafted access approval letters and subcontractor contract agreements.
  • Project design is 98% complete.

What We Will Achieve in 2015-16:

  • Secure the remaining $189,000 needed for construction.
  • Begin construction in fall 2015.
