Laurie served our country as an engineering officer on the USS Rogers DD-876 including a tour off the coast of Viet Nam and then for 20+ years in the naval Reserve. He retired as a commander.

Post navy, he worked in commercial construction, residential and commercial development. In 1990, he became CEO of the McLellan Estate Co., commercial and residential property owners in Northern and Southern California. In 2011, he retired and currently serves as director of McLellan Estate Co. and the Ojai Oil Company.

Laurie graduated from USC as well as the Aviation Officers Candidate School. Laurie served on the board of Family Service of the Mid-Peninsula for 11 years and on the board of the Community Association for Rehabilitation for 6 years. He is currently a Vice President with the Pacific Skyline Council of the Boy Scouts. He has been a governor of CalTrout since 2013.

He and his wife Barbara live in Los Altos, they have two grown sons and two daughter-in-laws and 4 grandchildren. Laurie’s interests include running, travel, flyfishing, sports and enjoying the outdoors.
