Lia has over 16 years professional experience as an environmental scientist with expertise in planning, natural resource management, and landscape ecology (including oak woodlands, conifer, coastal/aquatic, wetlands/riparian, sagebrush, & serpentine). She is a Professional Soil Scientist & Wetland Scientist specializing in fish passage, forestry, mitigation, recreation & trails, and watershed studies. She was a lead scientist on over eight segments of the California Coastal Trail, and focused on stakeholder outreach, design charrettes, CEQA/NEPA, permitting, and field crew leadership. She has also lead community outreach and event planning for a decade. Lia graduated from Humboldt State University in 2002.
