Richard “Rick” Kaufman is President of City-Core Development, Inc., a real estate and hotel investment company based in San Francisco.
His experience includes over 26 years of residential and commercial real estate experience. Currently, his focus is on East and West Coast apartment and hotel investments, including the Charlie Palmer Hotel brand. In 1995, Rick founded Mariposa Management Company, Inc., a San Francisco focused real estate development company. At Mariposa, he led the development of various San Francisco industrial properties, including the redevelopment and reuse of the Hunters Point Naval Shipyard. He has served as President of Mariposa since 2006.
Rick has served on various non-profit boards including California Trout, where he has served on the Board of Governors since 2012. He is currently Secretary of the Board. He also served on the board of Camp Tawonga, a summer camp located on the middle fork of the Tuolumne River, a few miles west of Yosemite National Park, in the Stanislaus National Forest. He served as Board President from 2008-2010. A native of San Francisco, Rick is a graduate of the University of California, Davis, is married and has two children.
