Biography

Amelie Kappes works for the Ishiyama Corporation of San Francisco, whose businesses include the Henry’s Fork Lodge, a fly fishing lodge in Island Park, Idaho. She is also Administrator for the Ishiyama Foundation, where water issues and conservation throughout the western states is one its primary interests. Amelie has previously worked for Dresdner RCM and the Idaho Nature Conservancy where she was manager of its Flat Ranch Preserve.  Amelie currently serves on the board of the Henry’s Fork Foundation.

A native of San Francisco, Amelie is a graduate of the University of Colorado, Boulder and earned an M.S. in Soil Science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.  She lives in Piedmont with her husband, Dan, and their two sons, Ben and James, (who love to fish!).
