Open Positions

Finance Director

Office Location: San Francisco (remote for now)
Type: Full-Time Exempt

The Finance Director leads the Finance Department team consisting of a Finance Manager CPA, Contracts Administrator, Payroll team and support staff. The Finance Director will work closely with the Executive Director and Chief Administrative Officer to implement finance strategies that ensure the continued success and development of the finance team. The Finance Director is responsible for the overall accounting process, ensuring compliance with multiple regulatory agencies, including Federal and State. The Finance Director will ensure policies and procedures are followed to ensure compliance and administrative success.

Central Valley Project Manager

Office Location: Sacramento Valley (Davis, Woodland, Sacramento, or possibly Chico) - remote for now
Type: Full-Time Exempt

The Central Valley Project Manager will assist the Program Director in managing the daily activities of CalTrout’s Central California conservation initiatives including science programs and specific restoration projects. The project manager will be responsible for a wide range of activities, including grant proposal development and submittal; project administration, budgeting, budget tracking, and timely processing of invoices; overseeing subcontractors, project deliverables, and timelines; and participating in communications among CalTrout’s Regional Managers and Directors.

Policy Associate

Office Location: Sacramento, CA (remote for now)
Type: Full-Time Exempt

The Policy Associate will track what is happening in natural resources and water policy in Sacramento, meet with legislative champions, coordinate with CalTrout regional directors to ensure implementation of their policy objectives, and make strategic decisions. The Policy Associate must register as lobbyist in California and should be prepared to meet with agency and legislative officials, engage in speaking events on behalf of CalTrout, and be a fervent advocate for CalTrout’s mission and goals.
