Amanda Cooper
Amanda is on CalTrout's Legal & Policy Team and was previously a Project Manager in our Shasta-Klamath region. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as a Juris Doctor from Lewis & Clark Law School, where she specialized in Environmental and Natural Resources Law.
Amanda advises on substantive law topics and issues related to CalTrout’s work throughout the state, with a focus on environmental law and more specifically, water law. This involves interpreting and providing advice on the many different federal, state, and local laws that impact our work. She also investigates creative ways to use existing laws to further protections for California’s waters. When she’s not in the office, you can find her working on her off-grid tiny home, planning her next international adventure, or teaching skiing at the local mountain.
