Sandra Jacobson, Ph.D. oversees CalTrout offices in San Diego, and Ventura. Based in San Diego, she manages the South Coast Steelhead Coalition and works with regional partners to implement the NMFS Southern California Steelhead Recovery Plan through fish passage barrier remediation and trout habitat improvement. With a doctorate in genetics from the University of Colorado and over 30 years in academics, industrial R&D and environmental biology, she works with partners to build interdisciplinary teams and secure funding to implement environmental projects in Southern California.
