California Trout’s Eastern Sierra team helped sponsor California Waterfowl‘s Annual Owens River Clean-up this month. The Owens River in Bishop features a blue-ribbon trout fishery. Due to its popularity, trash and other debris left by visitors unfortunately becomes a common site.
About 70 volunteers showed up, meeting at Pleasant Valley Campground, and were treated to coffee and baked goods before the morning’s work.
This awesome group picked up enough trash to fill a huge dumpster! Afterwards, Loung Tam of Tenkara Tenuki hosted a small clinic on fishing tenkara rods.
Excellent work everyone and thank you for your dedication cleaning up our earth!
