Stanford University’s antiquated Searsville Dam blocks approximately 20 miles of historic habitat for federally protected steelhead trout on San Francisquito Creek. It also dewaters the creek and degrades downstream water quality and habitat — which is designated “critical habitat” for steelhead.
Beyond Searsville Dam is a coalition advocating for the responsible removal of Stanford University’s Searsville Dam — while protecting creek-side communities, watershed health, and the San Francisco Bay.
They’re holding a benefit fundraiser which includes
- A chance to rub elbows with Patagonia founder Yvon Chouinard
- Organic dinner by world-renowned chef Jesse Cool
- Live music by the Windy Hill band
- Wine & cheese reception, silent auctions and more
