CalTrout celebrated its 40th Anniversary in fine style; 300+ guests showed up for our Annual Gala and Auction fundraiser on Friday, May 6. We can safely say that everyone had a good time.

In addition to the fun (and great food), we honored Richard May — one of the original California Trout founders — and also laid the Golden Trout Award on Assemblyman Jared Huffman for his help in the fight to preserve trout, steelhead, salmon and their habitat.

Attendance was way above last year’s Gala, and we look forward to even bigger things in our 41st year.
Plus, we raised a lot of money to help support our Blue Ribbon Waters Initiative, which fights to preserve, protect and restore California’s best-known, most-treasured fly fishing waters so future generations can enjoy them too.

If you missed it, you missed a fun time.
