CalTrout staff had a great time at the Pleasanton Fly Fishing Show last weekend at the Alameda County Fairgrounds. We enjoyed seeing familiar faces and welcoming many new members to our organization. The Fly Show is a great opportunity for us to connect with current CalTrout members, and others looking to get involved.
The Fly Fishing Show also premiered the International Fly Fishing Film Festival. The CalTrout sponsored film “Poetry in Motion, ” following the story of Maxine McCormick, the youngest fly casting world champion in history, is featured in the festival. If you missed your chance to watch it, CalTrout is hosting three screenings in the Bay Area. March 10 in Larkspur, March 11 in Orinda, and March 26 in Palo Alto.
