North Coast

Emily is quantitative ecologist focused on the conservation and management of salmon populations. Emily recieved an MS in Fisheries from CalPoly Humboldt in 2019 and a PhD in Environmental Science, Policy, and Management from UC Berkeley in 2024. Her primary research interests are fisheries management of salmonids, decision support tools, and the ecology and life history of salmonids. Her previous work in population assessments has been adopted by the Pacific Fishery Management Council, helped inform CalTrout restoration projects, and shaped monitoring programs of federal and state agencies in California.
