Project Goal
Demonstrate that winter-flooded rice fields in the Yolo Bypass can recreate the floodplain nursery conditions Central Valley salmon evolved with, growing juvenile Chinook faster and healthier than the leveed river channel ever could, while building a farming and conservation model that pays for itself.
