CalTrout-Supported Broadcast (And DVD Giveaway) of Award-Winning Documentary Chronicles The Rise & Fall of CA’s Steelhead Fishery — And The Obsessed Anglers Who Created It
Rivers Of A Lost Coast is a brilliantly-told story about the rise and fall of California’s once-proud steelhead fisheries — viewed through the lens of two obsessive fly fishermen, who eventually become bitter rivals.
Justin Coupe and Taylor Palmer’s multiple-award-winning documentary paints an engrossing picture of the fishery (and the fishermen) using archival footage and interviews with figures like Russell Chatham.
Overlaying the story of the fishery are Bill Schaadt and Ted Lindner — obsessive steelhead fishermen whose relationship mirrors the decline of the fishery.
Critically acclaimed and visually stunning, Rivers Of A Lost Coast is a must-see film — and an excellent reminder of exactly what CalTrout and its partners have been fighting for all these years. That’s why CalTrout has stepped up to support the broadcast of ROTLC on San Francisco’s KQED (public broadcast).

“Win a free copy of “Rivers of a Lost Coast”” then the fine print
I only received this email/offer– as I am on the the email list!
But, the rules state, that in order to “win”, you have to be “new” to the email list…..
People have you ever seen the commercial (I believe about Insurance) that exploits/explains just how awful/disappointing/despicable it is to only be offered “stuff” or be acknowledged -only- if you’re “new”?
Should I cancel my membership to CalTrout? So I can once again be “new” or “special” in your eyes?
I support the efforts of CalTrout.
But I do not appreciate a “special offer” that neglects/ignores current supporters
please review your policies

All you need to do is hit the “like” button on facebook. I’m sure that cal trout doesn’t have the intention of making this hard for any of their supporters, new or old. If you don’t use facebook or twitter, I wouldn’t be surprised if a simple email put you on the list.
All the Best
Of course, we have no intention of leaving out our current members who we greatly value. To enter the contest, current members (who are already on our email list) are invited to simply “Like” us on Facebook. We pick a winner from Facebook every day, too.
But, to make things even easier, we will be sending another reminder email later this week about the airing of Rivers of a Lost Coast, and we will include a link right in the email that allows you to enter the drawing.
As always, we appreciate your support. Together we will protect and restore the wild trout, salmon, steelhead and their waters throughout CA.

I agree with Chuck. I am not a Facebook, Twitter person and I am on the email list already. Feels a bit like being left out in the cold.

Dave
Sorry – I agree with Dan.
