Mount Shasta / Klamath

Tyanna joined the California Trout team as a Project Manager in June 2023. Her efforts focus on spring science, stewarding source water areas, and stream and habitat restoration within the Upper Sacramento Basin, including the McCloud and Pit River watersheds.

She studied fluvial geomorphology and holds a M.S. degree in Geosciences from Colorado State University. Prior to Cal Trout, she was a hydrologist and geologist in federal land management for over a decade, working on environmental planning, water quality monitoring, watershed restoration collaborative groups, and water rights issues.

In her free time, Tyanna is learning to packraft and enjoys watercolor painting, trail running, Nordic skiing, and exploring the wildlands of northern California.
